You Never Look Good,
Trying to Make Someone Else Look Bad
Have you ever found yourself pointing the finger at others, to deflect attention away from your own bad choices or ignorance?
Can you think of a time in your life when maybe you did that to someone else? Maybe it wasn’t even conscious????
Or maybe it was.
Did you catch yourself doing it?
Did you realize that you may have been deflecting your own behavior on this person?
Did you stop yourself?
Or did you just continue pointing the finger and hurt that person?
Did you own it?
Did you make it right even if it meant publicly calling yourself out?
Did you clean your side of the street???
If so, how did it make you feel to do that?
Let’s not play the victim here.
We are not talking about a time when someone maybe did this to you. We are looking with in to see if we did these types of actions to hurt someone else.
We are all just humans, we all make mistakes.
But when we realize that we do,
it is our actions then that determine our true character.
Did this experience help you uncover your true character?
I know I’ve done this.
I’m far from perfect.
I also know I learned so much from it,
sought forgiveness and grew as a person because of it.
It is in amends, we heal.
We are only as sick as our secrets.
It is in amends we help others to learn,
grow and heal.
Maybe give it some thought.
Maybe you have someone in mind that you know deserves better from YOU.
Give it to them.
Life is too short to not give your best.
